The JTRAC System – The reduced ligature Curtain Rail for all Challenging Environments

The JTRAC System is a durable, patented self harm and suicide resistant curtain rail system that has been designed for challenging environments.

In 2017 The JTRAC System was designed in conjunction with our European partners “Healsafe Interiors” Independently tested by SP, Technical Research Institute of Sweden and Patent Pending by PRV, Swedish Patent and Registration Office. Since 2017 the quality and suitability of this product has proven successful in hospitals, trusts and many other challenging environments throughout the UK and Scandinavia. The rail is manufactured in aluminium for rigidity, and white powder coated for smooth operation. The curtain rails available in 3 versions – ceiling fixed (top fixed) wall fix (face fix) 90 degree shower rail. The System consist of 3 parts – the rail (cut to your required length) 2 end stops and the calculated amount of grey and white glider/runners for your rail.

The patented design of the J-trac does not allow anything to be attached to the rail, and is designed with an open angle to hinder jamming of contraband behind the rail. It is designed to be mounted tight against wall or ceiling, preventing it from being broken and used as a weapon or tool for self-harm. The curtain hangs from the rail with specially designed runners which release under an abnormal load and can easily be refitted. Should an abnormal load be applied (20kg) max the holding force is immediately overcome the glider/runners will release the load. The curtains can be easily clipped back on site by staff.
